Lessons Learnt:

30 days isn’t long enough to test all the lipsticks in the world.

So don’t be too surprised if you find me testing out a few more lipsticks anytime soon.

As the 30 Lipsticks in 30 Days Challenge is complete, additional lipstick reviews will be added to the 30 Day+ Lipsticks Category.

Take My ‘Lippy’ Advice:

Completing this challenge has enabled me to see the potential pitfalls with relating to lipstick.

Here are some advice tips I would give you if you are:
  • Thinking about trying a new lipstick? – I’ve met lots of lovely ladies who have said that they want to wear lipsticks, but just don’t have the confidence to. What I would say, is throw yourself in the deep end and ABSOLUTELY GO FOR IT! At the end of the day, make-up is supposed to enhance your natural assets. So see it as a bit of fun rather than a daunting task. I always advise to start off with a natural or softer colour, as this will get you used to the texture of lipstick. Once you are used to it, you can always up the gears a bit and choose a more daring colour. There are no right or wrongs to what colour you should or shouldn’t wear. In my opinion, looking good starts with feeling good about yourself. So as long as you can venture past that front door with your head held hi – who cares what other people think!
  • Aren’t sure if a colour suits you or not… start off testing a small amount on the inside of your wrist (palms facing upwards). I test on this area of the skin because it’s slightly paler and closer to the texture of my lips than the firmer outer wrist. Once you are happy with the colour, you can then test on your lips. If you can, try to do this in natural daylight, as apposed to areas with overly lit lighting. Often times, I’ve tested a colour in over-lit shops, brought the item home, only to find that the colour was way off!
  • On a shoe-string budget – times are hard and money is tight. If you are on a budget and would like to spice up your look, I would suggest popping a clear lipgloss over top of your lipstick. This is a great tip if you have limited time to do your make-up because it instantly transforms your daywear look into eveningwear. Try it next time you get invited to after work drinks!

So that’s my 30 Lipsticks in 30 Days Summary for you guys.
